Einstein-Yang-Mills black hole solutions in three dimensions
In this paper, a procedure which gives Euclidean solutions of 3-dimensional Einstein-Yang-Mills equations when one has solutions of the Einstein equations is proposed. The method is based on reformulating Yang-Mills theory in such a way that it becomes a gravity. It is applied to find black hole solutions of the coupled Einstein Yang-Mills equations.
متن کاملRegular and black hole solutions to higher order curvature Einstein–Yang-Mills–Grassmannian systems in 5 dimensions
We construct both regular and black hole spherically symmetric solutions to the original higher curvature EYM model augmented by a Grassmannian sigma model field in d = 5 spacetime dimensions. Unlike the original model, the new model supports regular solutions in the flat space limit. We find that a peculiar singular behaviour of the solutions in the original model, persists in the case of the ...
متن کاملNew Black Hole Solutions with Axial Symmetry in Einstein-Yang-Mills Theory
We construct new black hole solutions in Einstein-Yang-Mills theory. They are static, axially symmetric and asymptotically flat. They are characterized by their horizon radius and a pair of integers (k, n), where k is related to the polar angle and n to the azimuthal angle. The known spherically and axially symmetric EYM black holes have k = 1. For k > 1, pairs of new black hole solutions appea...
متن کاملSequences of Globally Regular and Black Hole Solutions in Su(4) Einstein-yang-mills Theory
SU(4) Einstein-Yang-Mills theory possesses sequences of static spherically symmetric globally regular and black hole solutions. Considering solutions with a purely magnetic gauge field, based on the 4-dimensional embedding of su(2) in su(4), these solutions are labelled by the node numbers (n1, n2, n3) of the three gauge field functions u1, u2 and u3. We classify the various types of solutions ...
متن کاملNon-existence of black-hole solutions for the electroweak Einstein–Dirac–Yang/Mills equations
We consider a static, spherically symmetric system of a Dirac particle interacting with classical gravity and an electroweak Yang–Mills field. It is shown that the only black-hole solutions of the corresponding coupled equations must be the extreme Reissner–Nordström solutions, locally near the event horizon. This work generalizes a series of papers published by F Finster, J Smoller and S-T Yau...
